As adult colouring books continue to fill up wish lists, B.C. is finally represented.
The idea for a colouring book that included familiar landscapes came to Carrie Wong and Witek Radomski during a hike in the Kootenay mountains. Surrounded by stunning views, they decided to collaborate on an adult colouring book. The couple brought together a group of seven artists — perhaps inspired by Canada’s more famous Group of Seven — and each artist created images from their own landscapes. There are also a few from the artists’ internal landscapes, including magical forests, aliens and a black hole.

The urge to colour was lurking within adults - lurking until this year. Who knew?
When publishers took a chance on marketing a line of colouring books to adults, the urge erupted. In an article written for The Guardian newspaper in the United Kingdom, journalist Heather Schwedel called this "the year of the adult colouring book" and the trend is indeed global. Guardian scribe Zoe Williams discovered that five of the top 10 selling books on Amazon were colouring books for adults, while in Brazil, adult colouring books occupied six of the top 10 slots on their non-fiction bestseller list.
The movement has finally come to Prince George.
